Nick Ray, who has been a member of the Odyssey staff team for many years, recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge by sea kayak! On 10^th June, Nick arrived in Aberdovey, Gwynedd, having paddled 518 miles from Fort William, and cycled/walked 80 miles to include ascents of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. This was all accomplished solo in just under a month – by sea kayak and on foot; and largely unsupported.

We are hugely grateful to Nick who lives aboard a small yacht in Tobermory Harbour, with his wife Karen and dog Ziggy. On 25^th July, he travelled down from Scotland to give an illustrated lecture on this epic adventure, to a packed audience in Aberdovey Yacht Club. The ticket sales, raffle and an auction of promises at this event raised just over £700 for Odyssey, to add to Nick’s JustGiving total which is currently in excess of £2,000.
