Helen Williams was a former Lady Mayoress of Canterbury in Kent. During her period of office, she chose Odyssey as one of the nominated charities supported by her official fundraising events.

Sadly, Helen died recently and will be greatly missed – not only by her family and friends but also by the much wider community with whom she had a connection, including ourselves.

Helen’s daughter, Liz, very kindly invited donations to Odyssey at her mother’s funeral and, as a result, our funds received a welcome boost of over £600. Funeral collections and legacies can make a significant contribution to our financial security and our ability to continue helping those with cancer. They also provide a positive focus for friends and relatives at what is a very sad time.
