- A one-off or a regular donation via the website by going to https://www.odyssey.org.uk/donate/
- Organise a fundraising event. Charlotte Hall is taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon and is fundraising for Odyssey: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/charlotte-hall-running-cancer-recovery. (if you don’t fancy running yourself you could sponsor someone such as Charlotte!). Another person to watch is staff member Nick Ray – he is planning an epic journey by sea kayak from Aberdovey to Fort William, solo, camping ashore en route, and making ascents of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. He is keeping a blog http://www.lifeafloat.co.uk/blog/ and he also has a JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/nick-ray. So if you don’t fancy doing anything yourself you can be an armchair adventurer and follow Nick’s progress.
- In the past people have organised a host of different fundraising events from tea and cake sales, head shavings/haircuts, giving a talk to the local Rotary Club, and many more – and occasionally having the event match funded by their local bank or employer.
- Ask your employer or any corporate contacts to nominate Odyssey as their chosen charitable partner for the month or year.
- Name Odyssey to receive a legacy in your will.
What we can do
If you are thinking of fundraising for us we can help.
We can introduce you to other supporters who have experience of running fundraising events. We can share your event with past participants/volunteers in your area who may be able to help you.
If you want to persuade your employer or other corporate contacts to choose Odyssey as a charitable partner one of our volunteers or a Trustee can come along to answer questions or do a presentation about the charity.
